The Thousand Islands are a group of some 1,800 islands in the St. Lawrence River, straddling the Canada–U.S. border in southeastern Ontario. between Kingston and Brockville. Popular for sightseeing and outdoor recreation, the islands are often explored by boat cruise, kayak, canoe or helicopter tour.
